My wife and I got a golden retriever puppy in early 2006 and couldn't bear the thought of leaving this beautiful friend behind when we went on holiday. So we decided to take him with us, but found it difficult to find a good source of pet friendly accommodation. Sure, there were some of the more well known directory sites which offered pet friendly categories, but the listings were few and far between.

We realised there was a need for a site that just listed pet friendly accommodation, and "No Lonely Pets" was born.

The idea behind the name was that we know how lonely pets get when they are separated from us, and by taking them on holiday, the pets are happier, and so are we.

The goal of this site is to provide the most comprehensive online listing of South African pet friendly accommodation (and other venues) for people who travel with pets, in a way that is simple and easy to use.

We hope that as this site grows, it becomes an indispensable resource for people wanting to take their pets on holiday with them.
