Hello
We are a pet friendly B&B in East London (I notice the only one!). We are also relatively new and so far have only had one guest vist us with his pet. He brought his own food along with him.
Now with the festive season approaching, we have had a few enquiries about our pet friendly accommodation. What i would like to know is should i tell the owners to bring their own food, or should i have some on offer. I dont own a pet and was astounded to see how many varieties of pet food there are now, and also how expensive some of them can be.
Would it be rude of me to suggest the owners bring their own food?
I think pet owners would normally prefer to bring their own food
Hi. I think that pet owners often do have specific food they give their pets, so it would be quite a task for the accommodation owner to be prepared for any eventuality(our dog has just been put onto a special light food - he's getting a bit large!). I've been to a number of pet friendly places, and I've always brought my own special food for our dog. I think that it's probably understood by pet owners, and not expected to be provided at all.
